Katherine Hopkins

A local mum of 2, Katherine Hopkins loves to shop and, more importantly, to shop local.

She’s the proud owner of Regional Deals - an online advertising and marketing alternative run purely to promote, share and develop the exceptional businesses, services and produce offered here on the Border.

Regional Deals offers unique deals that showcase all that this incredible region has to offer for locals and tourists alike (and all at a comfortable price-point!).

Katherine has lived all over the world and in her former life was a world-class cellist performing with the likes of the London Symphony Orchestra and Katy Perry. She is the mother of 2 gorgeous children, Harry (5) and Penny (2), and wife of Ben, a financial planner. In 2012 she and the family decided to leave the big city to begin their new life in Albury/Wodonga and they’ve never looked back!

So what about Regional Deals? Well, it’s an online advertising and marketing platform with a difference – it’s owned and run, not by a faceless corporation, but by Katherine herself - a proud, passionate supporter of the local business community. Katherine loves nothing more than helping businesses succeed as well as helping the community grow with more awareness of the outstanding goods and services available to us all.

A long-time supporter of online access to goods and services, Katherine saw the need to build this for our local area. So in 2015 Katherine took the plunge, spending close to a year developing the Regional Deals platform. The website went live in November 2015 and since then has attracted a significant subscriber base as well as a continuously expanding social media reach.

Rebecca O'Brien

With a love of fashion, custom designed and quality made garments Rebecca O’Brien, 35, is a mum of 2 beautiful girls Isla 6 & Emerson 4 and wife to Brendan a carpenter.

Rebecca is the Founder & Creative Director of BRIE Corporate.BRIE Corporate is just over a year old and already taking the national lead on many corporate uniforms.

While studying Fashion Design at a private College in Sydney, Rebecca was employed by Piccolina, (a children’s wear label), which influenced the final range Rebecca presented for her Diploma of Fashion Design.

I was the only student to have a children’s wear range on the runway as opposed to women’s wear, which made me stand out from the crowd and get noticed.

Receiving an Award on completion for Total attention to Quality, Rebecca is still proud of her attention to detail, “It shows in the work I provide to my clients.

”Over 15 years industry knowledge doing what she loves makes this woman the perfect corporate wardrobe designer for organisations who wish to look fabulous!“

My biggest career achievement to date would be designing and managing the Corporate Wardrobe for St. Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney with over 1500 staff and in one of the hippest suburbs of Sydney, Darlinghurst. It was a great achievement to win the tender over the large corporate companies!
