Meet Bec Daniher
Bec Daniher is one of Australia’s most respected leaders in purpose-driven advocacy and community impact.
As Executive Director of FightMND, she has helped transform a personal family battle into one of Australia’s most recognised and successful charitable movements.
A former elite athlete who represented Australia at the 2013 Rowing World Championships and a qualified accountant, Bec became FightMND’s first employee after her father, AFL legend and 2025 Australian of the Year, the late Neale Daniher, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Today, she continues to lead an organisation that has changed the national conversation around MND.
Under Bec’s leadership:
- The Big Freeze has become one of Australia’s most recognised fundraising campaigns.
- FightMND now raises more than $20 million annually.
- More than $138 million has been invested into MND research, treatment and care.
But beyond the statistics is an extraordinary story of determination, courage, purpose and choosing to keep moving forward when life changes forever.

Since 2009, the Business Women Albury Wodonga Gala has become the region’s premier celebration of women in business, leadership and community.
